Buy Here, Pay Here and of NABD!
By: Kenneth Shilson, CPA, President
and Founder, Conference Chairman
During
the last year I have emphasized the many changes in the BHPH business during
the last 24 months. In this article, I will also discuss the changes in our 19th
annual BHPH conference May 23-25 at Wynn/Encore in Las Vegas (NABD 2017) where we will help
attendees meet these new industry challenges.
In the general education
sessions which begin on Tuesday afternoon (May 23rd) and Wednesday
morning (May 24th) we will answer attendee’s questions during
interactive sessions covering;
1.
Regulatory changes and updates
2.
Sourcing and financing the vehicles customers want today
3.
The critical decisions needed to succeed today
In addition, we will show and discuss;
1.
The newest technology to improve efficiency and
reduce operating costs
2.
Operating practices that work both now and in
the future
The general education sessions will also include a keynote presentation
by Richard Flint on “Embracing Change” preceded by a benchmark/trends update from Chuck Bonano, NIADA 20 Group Director, and I which
will put things into a financial perspective.
NABD 2017 features a “Solutions Hall” and workshops this year to help
attendees find;
a)
The capital needed to fund growth
b)
Ways to regain lost market share
c)
Technology that increases profits and cash flow
d)
Ways to reduce bad debts and keep customers paying
e)
Marketing strategies to compete
more successfully
f)
Compliance to avoid fatal pitfalls
g)
Compliance
with the new AICPA credit loss measurement standard
h)
Technology to manage and control reconditioning
cost.
All education sessions will be held at Encore which was recently voted as
the finest hotel/casino in Las Vegas
by Traveler magazine.
